GA Review
[edit]These are some of the reasons that I failed this article:
- There are Spelling errors in the lead.
- There are WP:ACCESS violations at every opportunity, and are especially egregious in the lead.
- The article is short to the point that it may not be comprehensive.
- The explanation of Dvorak T-numbers is clumsy and probably unnecessary.
- Other instances of jargon (i.e. deep convection) are unlinked and unexplained.
- The citations are bare.
The Reference heading is a casual "Refs", and External links has been abbreviated to "Links".- There is no "See also" section, which may or may be justified.
I would continue, but I think these are sufficient grounds. Plasticup T/C 20:57, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
Mabey I can fix this up a little. Add see Also, an External links, and a references section.Leave Message orYellow Evan home
- You have fixed one of the many problems. That is good, but this article is still a long way from Good Article status. Plasticup T/C 03:40, 13 October 2008 (UTC)

[edit]I've removed most of the Impact and forecasting section because it was an obvious copy directly from the TCR. This article also needs improved referencing. Cyclonebiskit (talk) 16:22, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
- The TCR is in the public domain, so we can copy it directly so long as we provide attribution. But it is still really tacky. It should be re-worded at the very least. Plasticup T/C 16:56, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
I reverted it because the TCR is in the Public Domain. Leave Message orYellow Evan home 13:50, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
- Just because it's in the PD doesn't mean you should copy and paste it into the article. I strongly recommend you do your own research and rewrite the article from scratch. –Juliancolton Tropical Cyclone 15:32, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
